PROJECT
On April 24, 2024, the Nordplus project on preschool values developed by DOMDARIS was approved.
The Nordplus project aims to promote the exchange of preschool teachers between the private primary school DOMDARIS in Latvia, Pangapealse preschool in Estonia and Katino Dieneles preschool in Lithuania, focusing on the practical application of school values in the preschool education process. The project will include activities such as job shadowing, workshops and discussions, which will allow teachers to directly observe and engage in a diverse preschool environment. As well as share methodologies on how each participating school’s values are integrated into preschool education.
Each participating preschool offers its own unique approach and values. DOMDARIS promotes growth, responsibility and community. Pangapealse preschool emphasizes development, respect, creativity and collaboration, which is reflected in an environmentally friendly and technologically literate approach. Katino Dienele preschool emphasizes respect, tolerance, empathy and development through individualized, bilingual and contextual education that is consistent with inclusive and diverse practices.
3 preschool teachers from Latvia, 3 preschool teachers from Lithuania and 4 preschool teachers from Estonia will participate in the Nordplus project.
An online meeting of all project participants is planned for October 2024 to jointly understand the goals, methodology, and cultural nuances of the Nordplus project.
An in-person meeting of preschool teachers is planned for November 2024 at the Lithuanian Katino Dieneles preschool in Vilnius, an in-person meeting of preschool teachers is planned for February/March 2025 at the DOMDARIS preschool in Riga, and an in-person meeting of preschool teachers is planned for May/June 2025 at the Estonian Pangapealse preschool near Tallinn.

BALTIC EXPERIENCE EXCHANGE PROJECT FOR PRESCHOOLS
In the 2024/2025 school year, the private primary school DOMDARIS, in cooperation with Katino Dienelės Nursery (Lithuania) and Pangapealse Kindergarten (Estonia), implemented the Nordplus project “Preschool Values Exchange – Experience Trip” (NPJR-2024/10156).
The goal of the project was for preschool teachers from Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia to exchange experiences on how to practically implement school values in the preschool education process.
The project included three international mobility and experience exchange visits.
Project results
This project vividly demonstrated the importance of values in early childhood education and the importance of transnational cooperation in the professional development of teachers. All the teachers involved returned to their educational institutions with new inspiration, concrete methods and confidence in the importance of their work.
The exchange of experiences was implemented within the framework of the Nordplus project “Preschool Values Exchange” (NPJR-2024/10156).
