ERASMUS+ ACCREDITATION

On February 6, 2024, the State Education Development Agency granted Erasmus+ accreditation to SIA “DOMDARIS” for the period until December 31, 2027.

Within the framework of Erasmus+ accreditation, it is planned to achieve the following 3 objectives of the DOMDARIS Erasmus Plan:

  1. To introduce innovative methods from international practice regarding self-directed learning, cross-curricular connections, the use of differentiated teaching methods and student inclusion support measures into the learning process;

  2. To learn foreign best practices in conflict resolution, improve the system of positive and negative consequences, and promote teachers' psychological skills to integrate innovative relationship-building methods into teaching;

  3. Optimize the school process management system in the digital environment, improve the emotional and learning support skills of leaders and mentors, and integrate best foreign practices in parent engagement and communication.

The goals of the Erasmus+ plan are planned to be achieved within 3 years, using various Erasmus+ mobilities – job-shadowing, courses, training for staff and inviting experts from abroad.

STEM and civic participation

Implementation period of the ESF Plus project "STEM and civic participation developments for broader educational experiences and career choices": April 1, 2025 - August 31, 2028.

The project aims to provide children and young people with the opportunity to participate in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and civic engagement activities. This will diversify their learning experiences, connect theory with practice, foster interest in these fields, and guide them towards further learning or careers in them.

  • Students will have the opportunity to participate in various STEM and civic engagement activities – such as laboratory work, project days, discussions, and activities outside the classroom.

  • They will develop critical thinking, action competences, and be able to better connect the learning material with the real world.

  • The understanding of labor market requirements in STEM and civic participation fields and the possibility of choosing a future study or career direction in these areas will be expanded.

  • As an institution, we will strengthen the quality of the learning process and the educational offer for our students and learners.

We invite parents to follow the project activities with interest, to actively participate and support our students on this path.

The project is implemented by the State Education Development Agency (SEDA) as the responsible institution. Funding is provided by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and the Latvian state budget.
